5.2.5 Beliefs

A belief is a condition about the world that the actor holds to be true. The actual degree of truth (As indicated by evaluation labels) is influenced by contributions from other beliefs. A belief is distinct from a goal in that the actor has no explicit desire to make the specified condition become true.
