Guideline (Beginner,Concept) Do not extend Decomposition Links beyond the boundaries of actors.

Discussion: Decomposition Links need to be drawn within an Actor, and not between Actors. Dependency Links should be used across Actors. These Dependency Links prompt the modeler to ask: What does Actor “Student” depend on Actor “College” for? And what is the nature of the dependency? The Answer is reflected in the Dependums, as these Dependums inform about the type of Dependency Links that are required by the modeler. Section 4.3 'Strategic Dependencies' discusses various types of Dependency Links that can be used between Actors. .
