Discussion: Actors are the general type, whereas, agents and roles are more specific. Therefore, it would be more accurate and not superfluous to model Actors as Agents or Roles when the distinction is clear between them. Some trade offs between using the general Actor notation as opposed to the specialized Actor notation are discussed in Section 8.1 "Agents, Roles, and Positions".
