Guideline   (Beginner,Naming) Be consistent when using colors in the models. Open Version

Discussion: Using color in models can be useful if used properly and consistently. An accompanying Legend needs to be supplied with the model, if the analyst chooses to do so. The Legend with eliminate any confusion that might arise due to the use of these extra colors in the model. Improper use of colors in the model, however, can lead to issue of consistency and usability. Additionally, a lot of colors can be distracting.
