Guideline   (Intermediate,Layout) Split a large and complex model into consistent pieces to facilitate easier presentation and rendering. Open Version

Discussion: Large models may be split into consistent pieces to facilitate easier presentation and rendering. In such instance, the model’s pieces need to be consistent with each other. Each piece is just a view or subset of a larger conceptual model, even if a physical representation of this model doesn’t exist due to space constraints. As shown in the illustrations extracted from Horkoff, Yu, and Liu (2006), Figures 2 to 4 are pieces or segments of the complete SD and SR diagrams in Figures 1 and 5. The objective of presenting this example here is not to go through the internal logic or content of the case, but to illustrate the overall layout and arrangement of consistent pieces or segments of complete SR and SR models. Please refer to “Trusted Computing: An i* Case Study” by Horkoff, Yu, and Liu (2006) for full details about this case.
